After the introduction of the long awaited SRX8-T, Serpent shifted into high gear, and prepared to complete the entire 1/8th line with the SRX8-T Electric. Transforming the Nitro version into an E version in a short time was nothing short of our highest priority. Take the best Nitro Truggy we have ever developed, and go electric. Retain all the key factors: performance, reliability, durability, ease of assembly as well as maintenance, coupled with all new suspension geometry, we feel this all new E Truggy is built for success. Using all of our high quality metals, plastics and rubber, we spared zero when it came to building the best product we could. During testing this all new E truggy exceeded all expectations we have set forth.
Using a similar design as our hugely successful SRX8-E, the 4mm 7075-T6 aluminum chassis continues to provide a solid foundation for one of the best E buggies ever produced. Let’s use that DNA and produce one of the best E-Truggies ever made. Being that the chassis is flat, it will provide us the absolute most flexible design today and into the future. Having weight of this chassis the lowest possible, it really helps to prevent traction rolls, as well as helps give better control while in flight. Aiding in lowering the CG, it also helps the polar moment and helps the car track straight even in the roughest terrain.
The SRX8-E motor mount continues as a carry over and is an excellent fit for the SRX8-T electric. This motor mount could be the best we have designed, as well as the most versatile. Having a solid track record of reliability, as well as being resolute in its ability to hold mesh, this mount continues to elevate the game.
